HOSPITALITY IS - FIRST OF ALL -
A PLEASURE

Nowadays, hospitality is often considered a matter of etiquette.
For an Italian family like mine, hospitality is more of
a value, something that has always been natural for us.

This is probably the reason why we approached the world of tourism, deciding to turn our beautiful Tuscan farm in a dreamlike holiday resort.

> leggi in italiano

We renewed villa after villa, bringing new life in an almost abandoned wonderful hamlet.

And some of my many siblings now live in some of them.

Me and my brothers Damiano and Massimo, toasting to celebrate our first Montestigliano Wine!

WE INTRODUCE YOU TO OUR "DOLCE VITA"

Italy is a wonderful country, full of history, art, stunning landscapes.

But what really steals your heart is our lifestyle.

As an Italian Family, we’re used to good life, good food, good wine.

Every occasion is good for partying.

And what we love most is to share all of this with our friends, as the typical Italian song says:

"Add a seat at the table,

for there’s one more friend.

Smile to our new guest,

don’t have him go away,

share your bread,

double the cheerfulness."

OUR SECRET: IL DOLCE FAR NIENTE

"The sweetness of doing nothing"

Italian creativity definitely comes from our unique way of enjoying life.

We deeply value the time spent doing nothing, just enjoying the time passing by

while we free our mind, living life in its simplicity, framed by our beautiful Italy.

Have you ever experienced that feeling?

An old wooden door lets you in the Garden of the Senses in Montestigliano

You definitely should spend some time

in our Garden of the senses in Montestigliano.

It’s an old henhouse we turned into a space to relax,

to think, to have an aperitivo with friends

at the end of the day.

ITALIANITY IS IN THE DETAIL

Fashion, art… we are good at detail.

But what really is surprising is the Italian attention to detail in everyday life.

The table set, lovely menus, fresh flowers… in Italy, it’s like we celebrate everyday. Or it’s like we’re always ready to welcome a guest in our home.

If you look for proofs of this, Palazzo Donati is the place for you.

"Each thing is taken care of in detail,

from fresh flowers in the room to scented linens with small bunches of lavender collected from the garden."

- from a review on Airbnb

I personally place the flowers and the sprigs of aromatic herbs to give freshness and elegance!

"Il letto è una rosa: chi non dorme si riposa"

"The bed is like a rose: if you don't sleep, you still repose"

- proverb from Le Marche

This is a really common saying among local old people in Le Marche.

We highly value the quality of sleep and of relax, and we want our guests to sleep well and rest after a busy day of travelling.

This is why over the years we have always cared about the size and comfort of our beds.

AS IF I WERE A GUEST

In Italy, when we host someone, we naturally give them all the comfort we are used to have in our daily life.

From the bio soap in the shower (which I personally buy from local producers, both in Tuscany and Le Marche) to everything you need for cooking (even the hand-printed kitchen towels from a very old printing house).

Hospitality is - first of all - a pleasure.

And we do everything so that our guests can feel our care.
